LET'S GET STARTED
STEP 1: SHARE THE DETAILS
Shoot me an email at jen@scheibcreative.com or give me a call at (724) 777-3256 to tell me about your upcoming photography needs. I'd love to hear from you! I can give you a rough estimate for services at that time, but you can also get an idea ahead of time by reviewing my price sheet.
STEP 2: BOOK THE DATES
If you already have your date(s), time(s), and location(s) set, I'll check my schedule and let you know if I'm available. Regular clients (AKA Partners) are welcome to inquire on short notice at any time. If I'm available, I'll be there!
STEP 3: IMAGE DELIVERY
I'll touch base over email a few days before the event. At that time, you can share any last-minute details or shot lists with me. After the event, your photos will be processed and delivered within the time frame specified during booking. Images will be delivered in a downloadable gallery and an electronic invoice will follow.
STEP 4: USE YOUR PHOTOS
Your rate includes unlimited usage rights to all of the delivered images. Share your images on socials, add them to your newsletters, use them for large scale marketing -- whatever you want! The possibilities are endless. Your images will stay organized by event date in your online gallery, which you can share with anyone on staff who needs access to the photos.
Frequently Asked Questions
We love your work, but can't afford a professional. Will you volunteer?
If you have an exceptional circumstance, I'm open to hearing more about it. However, I typically do not provide professional event coverage for free or deeply discounted rates when other vendors are being paid.
What do you need from us on the day of the event?
Credentials on a badge or lanyard that clearly show I'm working on behalf of the organization/community are very helpful. This is especially important when covering events that involve children, since parents often ask who I'm taking photos for. Being able to see that I'm part of the event team puts everyone at ease.
In most cases, I get the best results when I work independently. I prefer to circulate the event on my own so I can be observant and catch all of those sweet little moments. However, if the day has several moving parts, requires portraits of VIPs, or the location is quite extensive, it is helpful to have a point of contact on-site who can answer questions or show me around.
For events that require posed photos of VIPs, it is the organization's responsibility to gather all of the subjects for the group photo.
Do we need to get model releases in order to use our photos?
No. Generally speaking, you do not need signed model releases to use the photos taken at your event for marketing purposes.
If your event is open to the public, you might consider posting a sign at all entrance points to let guests know photography will be captured that day. For private or ticketed events, you can highlight your photography policy when they purchase their tickets.
If you are doing a planned shoot with one person or a group of people to be published in a magazine or a marketing piece, then a model release would be appropriate in that scenario.
We have a sudden need for photos tonight/tomorrow. Can you help?
Yes! Not every event or photo op can be planned weeks in advance. Clients who use my services on a regular basis are welcome and encouraged to text/email me anytime with coverage requests. If I'm available, I'll be there!
How do we pay you?
Payment options include cash, check, Venmo (@scheibcreative), or major credit card. Upon project completion, all clients receive a detailed invoice from Stripe. You can choose your payment method at that time.
When will I receive my images?
Turnaround time for most events is within 7 business days, but Partners are guaranteed to receive their images within 3 business days. Turnaround can be expedited if necessary to meet press or announcement deadlines.
What is your cancelation policy?
One-time events and special projects require a non-refundable deposit to hold the date. Established, recurring clients (partners) are given flexibility and generally not required to do a deposit.
Are there additional costs not mentioned on your price sheet?
There are no hidden or additional costs associated with my services. Your quote includes the edited photos as well as the usage rights to all of the images in your gallery. You will never be asked to pay additional fees for usage.
How long does it take to get a reply to my email inquiry?
Covering a variety of events means I'm often on the run at all hours of the day during busy periods. Established clients (AKA Partners) always receive a response same-day. All other inquiries will receive a response within 3 business days. Email, voicemail, and private messages are checked during regular business hours (between 9am-3pm). I am unable to respond to messages in the evening or on weekends unless it's from an established client.
