After many years of covering events of all sizes, it's clear that often the most meaningful, visually rich stories come from intimate soirees on the lawn, cozy dinner parties, and enchanting milestone celebrations.
Small Doesn’t Mean Less Important
People have a habit of only hiring a photographer for “big” events (think galas and festivals), but importance isn't measured by a headcount. When you strip away size and spectacle, you’re left with an intimate space that's perfect for storytelling through photography. Some of the most meaningful photos I've taken were snapped during small gatherings where cozy connections are easier to come by. It really does make a difference when the guests aren't strangers!

The level of detail that goes into an event can shine bright in an intimate setting. A beautifully set table, a specially crafted cocktail, an intricately decorated theme cake. These sweet details tell the story just as much as the people do. I love to highlight these things. Every touch is part of the atmosphere and deserves to be remembered.

Between the wide-eyed wonder when the princesses arrive, the spontaneous hugs, twirls in sparkly dresses, and frosting-covered smiles, these are precious moments you won't experience again.
